Wet Plate Collodion & Salt print process

WHAT?
Three day advanced workshop of wet plate collodion negative process that will be printed as salt prints and cyanotype 

WHERE?
Atelier Zigutamve-Photography, Zieglergasse 34, A-1070 Vienna (Google Maps)

WHEN?
26th, 27th and 28th of October 2018. We start the day at 9:33 and end the day at about 19:03

WHO?
This is an advanced course, but we will go from the beginning so if you have no experience, you will still be fine. Just expect a whole lot of information. If you want you can also make an ambrotype (wet plate collodion positive) during the workshop, to experience that too.

LANGUAGE?
English and German translation if needed 

HOW MUCH?
Three day workshop costs 350 EUR and that includes all material cost and detailed hand out notes with all the steps and receipts. It does not include food and accommodation.

ACCOMODATION?
Should you need some accomodation write to us and we gonna try to recommend some to you. 

RESERVATION?
The workshop is limited for six participants and you get your place by paying the reservation of 100 EUR. The rest you pay at the start of the workshop in cash. The reservation fee is not refundable.

  • the difference between wet plate collodion positive and negative
  • how to achieve different densities of a negative
  • what densities are appropriate for what kind of printing processes
  • wet plate with ambient light and with flash light
  • photographing outdoor
  • salt printing, toning with gold, waxing
  • albumen printing and toning with gold
  • troubleshooting

 

Each participant will receive notes with all the receipts and the most important points to remember.
